Founded in 1978 on the campus of Sonoma State University, the University Art Gallery is a central part of Sonoma County's growing visual arts community. Located in Rohnert Park, approximately 55 miles north of San Francisco, the Gallery is a program of the Department of Art and Art History and is situated within its spacious and well-equipped complex of classrooms and studios.
Our Mission is to serve as a source of educational and cultural enrichment for the campus and surrounding communities by producing programs and publications that promote the understanding and appreciation of modern and contemporary visual art from throughout the United States and beyond.
