Family owned and operated, Trek Winery was started as a way to blend our love for outdoor exploration with our love for making great wine. Our wine is inspired by the beauty and complexity of the outdoors, thus the name Trek Wine. Established August 1, 2007 after 17 years as an amateur wine making family whose wines had won numerous awards, the Podshadley family bonded Trek Winery to share their wines with the general public. Since our first release on June 1, 2008, we have seen steady sales and growth, with an increased following. Our growth has lead us to open our first tasting room and our new wine making facility on September 1, 2012 in downtown Novato. With this new facility, we are able to increase our production of distinctive yet affordable wines under the Trek label. In addition, the new facility serves as a local venue providing weekly entertainment including music and stand-up comedy, as well as the space for private events including weddings, receptions, birthday parties, corporate events, and local fundraisers.
Trek Winery prides itself on providing the highest possible quality wine focused on the millennial generation of consumers at competitive prices through creative marketing techniques in Marin County and across the country. The new winery facility provides wine to its customers with a friendly and knowledgeable tasting room staff. Trek Winery is excited to support the local community of Novato by bringing quality wine into the urban setting. In addition to wine, Trek Winery also sells premium olive oil at an affordable price in the tasting room.
Trek Winery’s Winemaker, Andy Podshadley, started his wine marketing career in the tasting room of Gloria Ferrer Champagne Caves and quickly rose to the position of Northern California District Manager. He then moved to Allied Domecq Wines USA, the second largest wine company in the world at that time. He broadened his experience becoming the General Manager of a small winery in Sonoma. Since opening Trek Winery in downtown Novato, Andy, his wife Liz, and the rest of the Podshadley family and tasting room staff strive to provide quality wine at an affordable price to the local community.
