Open: Year Round

Founded in 1973, Story Winery has been producing wines of distinction for nearly 40 years. Utilizing estate grown grapes, our family-run winery strives to produce wines that express the very best of the region.

Our tasting room is nestled on a hilltop overlooking a river canyon, surrounded by our Mission vineyard. These giant gnarled vines, planted in the 1890's, draw you over for a closer look. Next to the vineyard, our garden is fragrant with the aromas of sage and jasmine. Relics of the Gold Country's past guide your step to our rustic tasting room. Our friendly staff will be waiting to guide you through our tasting list with samples of our latest vintages.

Quaint tasting room that used to be a bunk house in the mid 1800’s. Really good wines and great views. Actually had our wines poured by the winemaker himself in a laid back atmosphere. Try the 2015 Alitia Vineyard Zin.

Great small winery. Friendly staff and super casual atmosphere. Buy a bottle and enjoy the beautiful views. We really liked the rose, sangiovese and quartz zin. Others were good too.

One of the most beautiful wineries in the world. Tasted recent release wines and they were decent with sangiovese the best of show. Do yourself a favor and spend lunchtime here.

This winery is well off the beaten path. You can get there off Hwy 49 if one-lane dirt road doesn't scare you, otherwise get there off Shenandoah Road. The scene from the deck is so peaceful! Our Sommelier was most helpful - we went for a sparkling wine he didn't have in store, so he suggested two other local wineries we could check. The Estate Rose 2015 is worth the trip!

I enjoyed this winery. The views they have are incredible! It is so peaceful and a nice get away! I went with a group and we decided to taste the different types of wine they had before we ate our lunch on the deck they have. We bought a bottle of wine, opened it up, ate our lunch, and enjoyed the beautiful view! Definitely recommend this place!
