Fantastic trails and incredible scenery. I went there during the summer and was surprised at how quickly the temperature drops at night. Great place for camping as well.

Helpful staff. Beautiful trails. Easy parking. Good mix of difficulty. Easy to ski in loops instead of just there and back.

I do not think the groomers are cross country skiers. So disappointing. Used to be such a great cross country ski resort. As there was oodles of snow, I would have hoped for the trails to be groomed, and groomed smoother with zero moguls, and the diagonal stride grooves to be level from foot to foot (a dangerous element where a chiropractor's time later would be needed!) Alas, this was not to be. Also some of the most excellent trails away from Summit Station hadn't even been considered for grooming. The Season Pass price is over inflated for what you now get. And they didn't even bother to plow the parking lot 100% - (on a Holiday Weekend!) and my car was mired in 18 inches of rutted icy slush with no attempt to help me. Need to see out the Season Pass and hope for some quality skiing in the future at Royal Gorge.

Amazing landscape. Very interesting creative grooming hills for beginners. I was also there in 92 mar. I was invited by so called born again ex prison convict Valen Brost from ws and mn. He bought 50 acres at kid lake. I worked for this nut case for a year and quit after realizing he is a self seeking con man. Seriously nuts.
