LifeHouse Productions is a family of creative artists committed to producing dynamic drama that illustrates Christian world views.
LifeHouse Productions seeks to develop the gifts of our artists, spiritually stimulate and educate audiences from all walks of life, and enhance "the moral imagination" utilizing drama, music, and creative experiences as a mirror reflecting biblical truths.
LifeHouse Productions will endeavor to stand as an artistic beacon of excellence for "His Excellency."
Independently incorporated as an interdenominational non-profit theater company in 1993, LifeHouse stage productions feature local volunteer talent representing up to 30 local churches and community organizations from all over the Inland Empire. A theater unique in the nation, LifeHouse productions are exclusive originals, some of which are commissioned for presentation in other U.S. cities. With an artistic vision guided by historic Judeo-Christian perspectives, LifeHouse Theater performs at least 45 weekends each year to audiences of thousands.
LifeHouse Theater also has many ties to Southern California churches and other organizations, having toured in many cities from here to San Diego and beyond-including the Redlands Bowl, Clock Auditorium, Arrowhead Bowl, Palm Desert Country Club, the Poway Center for the Performing Arts and Trinidad.
I was looking forward to this, but I ended up enjoying it even more than I thought I would! The shows are all written by the same guy, and they're really good. Mostly musicals, all original. Some Biblical plays, but most are not (Beauty and the Beast, Phantom of the Opera, Tom Sawyer, etc.). He takes the original stories (from the original books or fairy tales - not from the musicals or movies based on them) and adds in some Biblical messages, but not in an overly cheesy way. The actors are all volunteers, and because of that, it's even more impressive how good of a job they do. Tickets are about $25 each, but if you buy a season pass, it goes down to $19 or $20 each. The great thing about the season passes is you can share the tickets and use multiple on the same day. For example, I just bought a 8-show season pass. I want to see 4 shows coming up this season, so the 8-show pass allows my husband and I to each see 4 shows (= 8 tickets). The season passes come with coupons for a free cookie and coffee, but you can alternatively buy a cookie/coffee combo for only $1.50.
Best experience ever! I love the family experience & the way these plays always are written to show a Christian message. Everyone there is so nice, friendly, & helpful, too.
I love the productions they put on!! They have some very talented voices and actors. Fiddler on the Roof was very good. Abraham and Sarah also. I go with my Church group usually. They have a little snack bar inside and one outside if weather permits. Small, intimate venue.
We had a wonderful time seeing the play with our family and friends. God Bless you guys for all you do.
I went to see a matinee of Abraham & Sarah. While I'm not religious at all, I still enjoyed this show a lot. The effects were incorporated perfectly, and the actors were awesome. It was the best musical adaptation of the story that I've seen! I'll be returning to see Phantom of the Opera in August❤
