Many different methods of mining gold are explored in the exhibits of this museum. Your tour of the museum begins with an expedition through a replicated hard rock mine. Once you leave the dark tunnel behind, you’ll find a stamp mill and an assay office. It’s here that gold was processed from the raw material removed from the mines.

Exhibits of a miner’s cabin and a mining camp saloon where a game of Faro is underway provide glimpses into the lives of miners.

Using our many displays and indoor gold panning stream, museum docents will help you explore the most common methods of finding gold, from simple panning to hard rock and hydraulic mining.

For those who want a first-hand gold mining experience we have an indoor panning stream where we offer gold panning lessons.

We were here on the 4th of July listening to one of the bands play. The music was great, people dancing to it. A kids play area was provided with the hot air jumping castle. Vendors provided food and drinks. Very enjoyable .

The races were really cool! The people were friendly and fun. Also, the police were there walking around handing out stickers. It felt secure even though there were biker gangs there. Everyone stayed cool and had a good time.

It's a nice multi-use facility it's too bad that so many trees have died and all that logging was down there it's kind of changed the whole entire feel of the place I've seen as well as worked (volunteered )many events there. Always nice people but that seems to be the status quo in the area that's the best concert venue but it's worth seeing there it's quite cozy

Smaller fairground venue located in Auburn California. It seems that about every weekend something is happening here. From the Mandarin festival to the local fair. Most events are relatively inexpensive to attend. Close to old Auburn, near some good resturants and shops.
