Eaton Canyon Nature Center

1750 North Altadena Drive

The new Eaton Canyon Nature Center was opened in November of 1998, replacing the old one which burned in the Altadena fire of October 27, 1993.  Our 7,600 square-foot building contains many fascinating displays, live animals, offices, classrooms, an auditorium, restrooms, and an information desk/gift shop. Feel free to come inside and look around.

Great little visitor center, free parking, maintained trails. Good place for a stroll when it is not too hot. Visitor center with a/c so if it is hot, go there. Enjoyable time.

The employees at the nature center are super helpful. They host events for special needs kids with amazing activities that showcase all the natural plants and materials. Yucca paintbrushes are cool.

Awesome. Found a bike lock then simple walk. I enjoyed my day! Simple. I definitely will go back again and recommend friends to go before their body get used to before going to next level at other hiking places. Lol

The hike isn't to intense, there's not much elevation. There's a waterfall under the bridge. Be careful we did see a rattle snake cross our path. You can complete this hike in under 2 hours for sure. You can't really get lost either which is a plus.

Came here to reach the waterfall. Ran into 1 rattlesnake 2 feet away from my left leg. my advice run with just one ear bud on to be safe. other then that it's great kinda short but fun to have a nice little view.
