Still close enough to the ocean that it's not too hot to hike in during the summer. Several hiking trails are available. Picnic tables are located near the entrance along with running water. Saw only hikers and horses on my hike today. Small parking fee. This the time of year for rabbits, lizards, snakes, and some birds.

Beautiful views and tons of intimate trails. Spring is the best time to see lushious greenery and some wildflowers. Hikes are short so it's great for all ages and the entire family. Ocean views are beautiful. Bring lots of water in the summer

There's plenty of parking split up into two lots. You can pay $4 within the park or park for free on Encinal Canyon and walk about a quarter-mile to the parking lot. The trails were well signed, although there are not mileage indicators on the signs. The bathrooms were relatively clean and the views were spectacular once you cross the meadow. This is a easy to moderate hike suitable for families with small children. You can even use a jogger if you're not afraid of a moderate incline
