About us:

Carrefour Vineyards, a Napa Valley winery owned by a moonlighting dentist and an airline pilot, Greg and Marilyn Nitz. Carrefour is the French name for "crossroads" or a "meeting place" which paints the perfect picture of our food, wine and friends lifestyle.

We started our 18 acre vineyard in 1997 when we planted Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. In 2000, we planted Sauvignon Blanc and Petite Verdot. In addition, we planted more Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Our ultimate goal was to make wine from our estate vineyards. In 2003 our dream came true. We now produce estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Sauvignon Blanc. In 2006 we also produced Botrytis late harvest Sauvignon Blanc, named "ELEVENTH HOUR".Being Pinot Noir lovers, we needed to purchase grapes since our microclimate is too warm to grow Pinot Noir. We purchase grapes from the renowned Carneros region from Truchard Vineyards. Our first Pinot Noir was produced in 2002.
