The Brown Trout Gallery is a fun place to shop, in the Mt. Shasta region, for unusual and hard-to-find gifts. Gifts for the gardener, fisherman, cook, homeowner, writer and difficult-to-buy-for-friend. Set in an historic mercantile building, the Brown Trout has brick walls, high ceilings and a creek running under the floor. Located in Dunsmuir, where the Upper Sacramento River, Amtrak, I-5, historic route 99 and the Union Pacific Railroad run through, you'll find a little town reminiscent of a softer, gentler time, when folks greeted each other on the street, the pace was slower and life was sweet.
