Jerry Joseph, an Oregon Music Hall of Fame inductee based in Portland, is an under-the-radar music marvel with a formidable presence in both mainstream and unconventional venues worldwide. Playing over 150 shows a year across America, Europe, Mexico, and Central America, Joseph’s reach extends into unique territories like Lebanon, Israel, Kurdish Iraq, India, and Afghanistan, often performing in war zones and refugee camps. His efforts in conflict areas, teaching music to displaced teenagers through his non-profit Nomad Music Foundation, have garnered attention from Rolling Stone, Relix, and PBS News Hour.

As a recognized triple threat of songwriting, singing, and playing, Joseph's talent has been acknowledged by fellow musician Jason Isbell, placing him in the esteemed company of artists like Richard Thompson and St. Vincent. Despite his prodigious output since the 80s with bands like Little Women and The Jackmormons, and collaborations in the supergroup Stockholm Syndrome with Widespread Panic bassist David Schools, Joseph remains somewhat of an enigma, known in jam band circles yet overlooked by many. His diverse musical influences, from punk rock to jam bands, underline his status as a cult figure and one of the most electrifying live performers and songwriters, meriting a far broader recognition in the global music scene.
