Huntington Beach 4th of July Celebration - Surf City 5K

The largest Independence Day Celebration west of the Mississippi!

Launched in 1904, the first Huntington Beach 4th of July celebration commemorated the arrival of the first electric passenger train linking the area with Long Beach and Los Angeles, attracting 50,000 people to the celebration.

118 years later, the annual tradition annually attracts more than 500,000 attendees over 5 days of programming

Join us for the Huntington Beach Surf City Run 5K!

The Surf City Run 5K in Huntington Beach takes place along the historic route of Main Street and Pacific Coast Highway.  Come out and enjoy an 'All-American' start to this terrific Holiday by running along our parade route, see the famous pier, and beautiful Pacific Ocean before a gentle sloping return to Worth Park for the finish.
