FILM SYNOPSIS:

In this wildly entertaining adventure comedy, June Squibb stars as Thelma, a feisty 93-year-old grandmother who decides to take the law into her own hands after she becomes the victim of a telephone scam targeting the elderly. Eliciting help from her friend Ben (Richard Roundtree in his final performance) who provides a motorized scooter, the two embark on a treacherous quest across Los Angeles to get her money back. First-time feature director Josh Margolin does a remarkable balancing act between action stunts, cheeky comedy, and heartfelt drama exploring issues surrounding aging and independent living for the ones we love. Featuring an excellent supporting cast including Parker Posey, Fred Hechinger (White Lotus), and veteran actor Malcolm McDowell, the film was named ‘Best of Fest’ at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival.

Location: Catelli's
