Stephen Monkarsh created Just Fabulous in March 2007, after realizing that Palm Springs needed an upscale boutique that would showcase some of the best gifts and cards from around the world, while providing a superior level of customer service. Nestled below the San Jacinto Mountains in one of the most beautiful spots in Palm Springs, Just Fabulous is a favorite destination for tourists, weekenders and locals too!
In 2010, Just Fabulous more than tripled its size expanding to 2500 square feet - at the corner of Palm Canyon Drive and Alejo in the Corridor Shops. This expansion enabled Just Fabulous to become a "lifestyle" boutique offering a wide array of merchandise to suit the interests of our diverse clientele - including gifts and books on Palm Springs and Mid-Century Modernism; Architecture and Design; Fashion and Style; LGBT Interest; Spirituality, Self Help and Recovery - as well as signature Furniture, Home Decor, Accessories, and Gifts by celebrated designer Jonathan Adler.
As one of the last independent booksellers, Just Fabulous has an excellent collection of coffee table books from renowned publishers such as Taschen and Rizzoli. We are especially honored to partner with Assouline, the Parisian based publishing house, and to exclusively provide our customers with access to the entire Assouline Collection. In addition, the Museum of Modern Art ("MoMA") selected Just Fabulous to have its first MoMA Books "Shop in Shop" in the country.
Just Fabulous is also pleased to promote the work of local artists and photographers. It is also our mission to support our community. In this regard, Just Fabulous is proud to sponsor and lend our support to numerous organizations, including Palm Springs Modernism Week, the Palm Springs Preservation Foundation, Palm Springs Modern Committee, Desert AIDS Project, AIDS Assistance Program, Fashion Week, Jewish Family Services of the Desert, the Trevor Project, HRC, Equality California, and the Annenberg Theater Council of the Palm Springs Art Museum.
We are the "Official" book and gift seller for the Palm Springs and Los Angeles Modernism Shows, which take place each year in February and April respectively.
