Open Year Round
F. Teldeschi Winery is definitely a family operation. Frank Teldeschi bought the land in 1946, and over the ensuing years he sold his fruit to Frei, Seghesio, Pedroncelli, Gallo and Ravenswood. In 1991 the family started their own label, featuring a picture of Frank. Currently Caterina owns the land and with son John manages the growing end of the business. Dan Teldeschi is the winemaker. The tasting room and winery are located in a small building on the hill above Lambert Bridge Road.
While they only bottle one or two Zinfandels each year, a visit to the tasting room will allow you to sample many different vintages. Recently the Library selections included vintages back to 1992, with regular offerings from the mid '90s, including a reserve and a Zinfandel Port.
