Open:Â Year Round
Cain Vineyard & Winery is cradled in a spectacular bowl overlooking the Napa Valley from the crest of the Spring Mountain District. Cain Vineyard and Winery is situated on Spring Mountain at 2,000 feet elevation at the headwaters of the Sulphur Creek watershed. They have every possible exposure, incredibly variable soils mostly shallow with a lot of clay and many steep slopes. Almost their entire vineyard is double-planted on contour terraces, which makes farming difficult and erosion control an absolute must.
They try to grow the best grapes that will produce wines with an expression of the land on which they are grown. They are dedicated to the creation of three Cabernet blends, each drawn from its own unique vineyard sources, each with its own distinctive signature: Cain Cuvée, Cain Concept, and Cain Five.Cain Vineyard Varying in elevation from 1,400 to 2,100 feet (450-675 meters), our vineyard clings to the sides of a bowl, sited spectacularly, and improbably, along the crest of the Mayacamas Range.
