Billy's Farm
8430 Dillard Road

The original 40 acre farmstead was purchased by William and Starlita Weubbe some 45 years ago, as a lifelong dream of William. William "Bill" and Starlita raised 6 children on this farm, which they raised Purebred Sheep and Cattle operating under the name Weubbe Ranch. By 1996 the children had all gone off to college and the farm was converted from livestock to tree farming. The first project was the planting of 5 acres of English Walnuts. The second project was planting of Christmas Trees, which began the winter of 2000. It was after the passing of Bill Weubbe that the idea of the Christmas Tree farm was hatched.

Since 2000 the family has planted over 18,000 trees, built the farm yard, installed the pump and set up the "Billy's Farm Fresh Cut Christmas Trees." The farm has grown each year to provide wonderfully fresh choose and cut Christmas Trees, and a wonderful holiday experience. The rolling 17 acre field was initially a hay field- not a tree on it sans the Majestic Oak. Today it is home to more than just Christmas Trees- we also have Persimmons, Pomegranites, Pears and Apples growing in the field.

Each year the farm has added new features. The first year we opened for business was the first weekend of December in 2003. We sold 27 trees that year and learned a great deal. That was a proud moment to actually open the doors to friends and family. The dream of "Billy" was to create a peaceful environment that folks from the city could come out and experience part of a day in the country. Pet the livestock, play in the hay-fort, ride the hay ride, choose and cut fresh Christmas Tree and make wonderful family traditions.

The farm is operated by Starlita Weubbe, her son Paul Weubbe and the entire Weubbe Family plays a role with each season. All of the grandchildren have worked on the farm at some point in their lives and Grandma Star takes great pride in providing the farm experience to her offspring.

We have also been a local employer hiring seasonal help and many times it is their first job. We are pleased to see many of the young men and women who have worked for us go on into their careers.

Each year we continue to add new features and expand existing features, all to provide a wonderful customer service experience for all of our visitors. Our retail operation is set around a 450 year old Heritage Oak, which has provided a number of interesting stories.

In 2006 we became a certified Organic Christmas Tree Operation with the CCOF. Our membership with the California Christmas Tree Association, National Christmas Tree Association, Farm Bureau, Chambers of Commerce all provide great resources and information to keep the farm up to date.
