Schedule:

1:00pm: EVERYBODY LOVES JEANNE
by Céline Delvaux (95 min, 2022) – Quirky Comedy – First Feature – Female Director
Everybody has always loved Jeanne (the irresistible Blanche Gardin). These days, she hates herself, and her inner voice – personified as a whimsical animated character –doesn’t let her forget it! Feeling professionally defeated and up to her ears in debt, she heads to Lisbon, Portugal, to sell the apartment of her recently deceased mother. At the airport, she runs into Jean (the dreamy Laurent Lafitte), a slightly odd and intrusive yet endearing former classmate. She cannot remember him, but he is clearly still under the spell of the popular girl she was in high school.

3:10pm: LITTLE ONES
by Julie Lerat-Gersant (90 min, 2023) – Social Drama, Women – First Feature – Female Director
Little Ones tells the personal journey of a teenage girl grappling with an unexpected pregnancy that turns her life upside down. It is an emotional and uplifting drama starring one of our 2019 guests, Romane Bohringer.

5:35pm: THE NANNIES
by Julien Rambaldi (105 min, 2022) – Social Comedy, Immigration
Angèle (rising French comic actress Eye Haïdara) is a young undocumented woman from Ivory Coast who lives off small scams on the outskirts of Paris. After being threatened by the gangsters she conned, she decides to hide in a new neighborhood and manages to get hired as a live-in nanny. While chatting in the park where the nannies take the kids after school, Angèle discovers that most of them are being taken advantage of by their employers. Although she is supposed to be keeping a low profile, she sets out to help them.

7:55pm: THE TAKEOVER
by Gilles Perret (107 min, 2022) – Social Dramedy – First Feature (fiction)
When Cédric finds out that the factory he works at is about to be sold to an investment fund, he enlists his childhood friends to try to transfer factory ownership to the employees. The Takeover is a feel-good fable about the power of workers united against speculators that will keep you on the edge of your seat till the very end.
